i bought a hp pavillion laptop(Rs 62,000) 2 yr ago and it is out of service now.it will take Rs 30,000 to repair it.But thats too much expensive 4 me.so i am thinking to buy a desktop pc(assembled) within the same budget to make a good gaming pc.As i am moving to hostel plz suggest what to do? i aslo feel nostalgic 4 my laptop as it was mobile.

Okay so, I just went out a bought a graphics card, but I didnt know that my computer doesn’t have the right AGP slot for it, if you want, you can look the computer up, HP Pavilion a706n Desktop PC, im trying to play WoW, and my graphics card didn’t meet the system requirements, plus my FPS was around 9, wich usually my friends have about 40, so yeah, I already know my computer wasnt meant for gaming, because of the poor graphics, so I need to know some graphics cards that will fit into my AGP slot, thanks.

I have a HP Compaq Presario SR5250AP Desktop PC in Vista Starter which I have uninstall it and install Windows XP Prefessional. However, some drivers are missing. I have check HP website and could not locate the drivers for XP and I also tried locate from others and not too certain which one to download.
My spec is : Chipset GeForce 6150SE nForce 430,
Motherboard : ECS, MCP61PM-HM,
DVD ROM (SATA) : max 16X,
Video Graphics : Integrated graphics,
Sound/Audio : High Definition 6-channel audio ALC 888 chipset,
Network (LAN) : Integrated 10/100 Base-T networking interface.

I went to the HP website and they no longer have any disks in stock and I need to recovery my computer. Im not able to create any recovery disks either because there is no recovery partition found

Ok, i have a HP pavilion 751n desktop computer, and i’m trying to 1) Play a Computer Game and 2) Get sound coming out of it. Everything was fine until we took it in to get looked at for viruses. I was little at the time, but it seems they wiped the hard drive. I have gone into properties and checked the adapters, i have also checked “dxdiag” and for the video card, it says VGA default. I was expecting to see nVidia or ATI, or one of the well known graphics card companies. This has made it a big problem for downloading drivers, i don’t want to have to pay for the driver detective software, because once i figure out what manufacturer my graphics card is i know how to download the drivers. For the sound card, i have gone into a page that is supposed to list it, but instead it is left blank. DxDiag states that i have no sound card. Is there any manual way to check these for sure? And if there really are no graphics/sound cards how much would it cost to get one installed? Thanks
P.S. its a 2004 model with intel pentium 4 processors and Windows XP (Running Service Pack 3)

i have a c-d part on my computer it says its a compaq presario 5000us but crucial doesnt recognize it all it recognizes is that its got Compaq HP-Compaq 06E4h Motherboard Desktop/PC . i try to play a c-d on it and it says i need a c-d drive?? i just bought this from someone and im pissed what is compatible with this if i were to get a c-d rom drive
